Michael J. Fucci, MD is the medical director at Arizona Hearing & Balance Center. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in the subspecialty of neurotology and otolaryngology that includes both the treatment of pediatric and adults patients, making him the most qualified to treat diseases of the ear and hearing related disorders.

He completed medical school at Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed a fellowship in neurotology at the prestigious House Ear Clinic-USC School of Medicine in Los Angeles, CA. This highly competitive, sought after fellowship trains otolaryngologists in the advanced medical and surgical treatment of hearing loss.

Dr. Fucci opened Arizona Hearing and Balance Center in the fall of 2001, the center performed the first adult cochlear implant and the first pediatric cochlear implant in the East Valley, and still remains the only comprehensive cochlear implant program in the East Valley. Dr. Fucci also performed the first bone anchored hearing aids in both adults and children in the state and the first translabyrinthine approach for acoustic neuroma surgery, a technique that helps prevent facial paralysis and brain injury.

Dr. Fucci Specializes in ear and hearing related disorders such as: tumors of the ear, acoustic neuromas, hearing loss, cochlear implants and hearing aids for both children and adults.
