Valley ENT Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that supports education, research and healthcare delivery in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
This includes all aspects of otolaryngology (hearing and balance disorders, head and neck cancer, allergy, nasal and sinus disorders, swallowing and speech disorders, pediatric ENT disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, as well as, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery).

To inspire clinical excellence in ENT care through education, research, collaboration with other 501(c)(3) organizations with a focus on healthcare and health services, and volunteer medical outreach.

EDUCATION
For Providers:
Continue to fund the annual series of Continual Medical Education (CME) events "ENT Update for the Primary Care Provider" meeting the
demand for further otolaryngology training among the PCP community.
For Patients:
Provide free community education meetings for the community on otolaryngology issues affecting quality of life.
RESEARCH
- Create funding for clinical research by Valley ENT specialists.
- Provide support and funding for a dedicated research nurse and/or research specialist.
CARE
- Fund and support free community head and neck cancer screening.
- Fund and support free community hearing screenings.

EDUCATION
The Foundation is committed to a shared responsibility to support and further the knowledge development of Primary Care Providers thereby enabling a care team approach to the delivery of appropriate high quality and current otolaryngology care. Approximately 20% of adult general practice consultations are for otolaryngology complaints yet multiple surveys indicate the overwhelming majority of PCPs would like further training in otolaryngology through Continuing Medical Education. Over 200 regional Primary Care Physicians and Physician Extenders took part in the "ENT Update for the Primary Care Provider" in just the first two years of this seminar.
RESEARCH
Valley ENT physicians have a wide range of expertise and interests across the field but are united by a commitment to improving patient care through research.
The field of otolaryngology is so diverse that the possibilities for new research initiatives and technological developments are endless. The aim of this research is to find new therapies and cures to restore quality of life in patients ranging from neonates to the elderly, people with acute and chronic conditions, and patients in clinical and surgical settings.
Real advances in otolaryngological treatment are made possible through research applied to patient care.
PROMOTE DELIVERY OF HIGH QUALITY ENT CARE IN OUR COMMUNITY
ENT problems appear everywhere: nosebleeds, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, ear infection, hearing loss, sore throat, sinusitis, airway emergency, thyroid problems, sleep apnea, hoarse voice, tongue lesions, parotitis, dry mouth, etc.
WHAT IS HIGH QUALITY ENT CARE?
Depending on the area of specialty, Otolaryngologists may address the most urgent of all conditions (airway emergency), to the least (facial plastics and cosmetics). Surgical procedures can range from the most common of all (tonsils, adenoids, middle ear tubes) to the highly technical (open craniofacial resection, orbital exenteration, tracheal reconstruction, brain stem auditory implants). Whether patients are neonates (EXIT procedure, choanal atresia repair, laryngotracheal reconstructions) or elderly, otolaryngology covers both medical conditions (headaches, dizziness, ear infections) and surgical conditions (facial trauma, head and neck cancer). Surgical procedures may be short (middle ear tubes) or long (head and neck reconstruction, acoustic neuroma excision, skull base resection) including fine procedures (vocal cord microsurgery, laser stapedectomy) and macrosurgery (maxillectomy, mandibulectomy, laryngectomy, facial reconstruction). Promoting and supporting high quality ENT care is essential to the health and quality of life of our community. Such care can cure quickly (Epley maneuver, tonsillectomy) or ensure the sustained care needed to address chronic conditions (chronic rhinosinusitis, vestibular migraine).
