With sorrow, Valley ENT memorializes Dr. Dan Hurley.
He died at the young age of 50 after a 2-year battle with cancer.
He will be missed by the entire Valley ENT community including his colleagues, Valley ENT administration, staff, and all his patients.
Dr. Hurley was President of Valley ENT from 2015 until his passing. His leadership allowed Valley ENT to grow both in size but also to mature as an organization and always reflected the values of integrity and fairness as well as transparency. As a physician, he placed the welfare of the patient at the center of decision-making. His style was compassionate but direct to allow the patient to understand and participate in their own care.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Hurley had a strong interest in working to reform American healthcare coverage regarding insurer denials of coverage for care the treating physician recommended but they deemed it unnecessary.
