Laryngoscopy

Diet:
Resume your previous diet.

Activity:
Resume all activities.

Strict voice rest for 2 days. Gentle voice use (no whispering or yelling) for 2 weeks

Medications:
Discomfort is usually relieved by extra-strength Tylenol. If a stronger medication is prescribed, follow directions carefully.

Follow-up:
Return to the office 10 days after your surgery.

Information:
Throat and ear discomfort are normal and will resolve over the first two weeks after surgery. However, your breathing should remain normal. Call the doctor if you experience any difficulty in breathing.

Tongue pain, numbness and/or tingling is normal and will resolve over the first two weeks after surgery.
